Free-cation!

If someone invited you to stay 2 nights at the Buffalo Bill's hotel in Primm, Nevada would you say yes? Probably not. Especially when you are used to Priceline's 3 star hotels.(Where is Primm anyways right?) But if someone invited you stay for 2 nights for free and threw in some free ride passes, some free food, free cable, and free swimming in a pool shaped like a Buffalo's head, and $30 cash I bet your answer would change to -heck YES! Well my cool sister-in-law Danette sent us an email about Buffalo Bill's summer promotion appropriately titled "FREE-CATION," and Brian honed in on the word free and called the number on the screen. They didn't know that a bunch of cheap Mormons who don't drink, smoke, or gamble (much) where going to be the ones cashing in on the promo (we saw plenty like us there!)There really was no catch, so we spent Thursday night and all day Friday, July 3rd, there living la vida loca. We went on the log ride a bjillion times, the Desperado once (and that was enough!)and a few other motion rides. Erick and Rachel went on this ride called the Frog Hopper where you are buckled in and the seats lift to the top and then drop and go up, drop and go up, drop and well you get the idea. They rode it for hours. If no one was in line the ride attendant would let them ride until kids got in line again. Seeing their happiness on the ride was definitely worth the price we paid!! But seriously, we had a great time being together, and did I mention it was mostly free. (We did have to pay some to eat, but they should of paid us to eat the buffet-not good.) Anyways we can't wait until free-cation 2010!! Hopefully I'll remember my camera next time.

Summer Games

I don't usually like to blog about myself, but a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to play volleyball in the Summer Games in Cedar City, UT. In case you don't know anything about the summer games, it's like the summer Olympics for people that couldn't make it to the professional level,or semi-pro, or college, or probably any level past high school. Our team (IT'S ALL RELATIVE) consisted of myself, my sister Christel (our MVP,) my aunt Susan, my cousin Alisa, her friend Rochelle, another cousin Amber, and my sister-in-law Daylemarie. Hence our team name... Once we found our groove we started winning and ending up taking up the silver medal!
