Uncle Brandon and Aunt Tiana's Wedding

Brandon and Tiana were married on September 1, 2012 in the Mesa Temple. Since the whole family wanted to be there for that we decided to rent a house together in nearby Gilbert, AZ. The house was big and spacious and the best part was the really awesome pool in the backyard.
The candy buffet was a huge hit with adults and kids alike! It looks like the kids had a little too much blue taffy!
The little kids were the hit of the party with their dancing skillz!
Everything went great and the wedding and reception were beautiful as well as the bride and groom!

First Day of School

The kids started this school year on Monday, August 27, 2012. Rachel is in 5th grade, and Erick 3rd. This year everyone was excited and ready for school to begin again. The previous Friday, the 24th the kids got to go see their classrooms, meet their teachers, and see what kids were in their classes. This year I thought I would have the kids hold signs of their current grade because of a funny stunt Erick tried to pull. As we were cleaning out their drawers and closets to see what clothes they would need when we went school shopping Erick found a Diary of a Whimpy Kid shirt that he wore to school on the first day of 1st grade and tried to put that in the keep pile. I however remembered the shirt from 2 years ago, and showed him on the blog that he was indeed wearing it in 1st grade! So if the need to prove my smartness to the kids again arises, I have proof in the pictures! I think the kids are going to love their teachers and have yet another great year!

Diving Lessons

Erick is very brave and likes to try new things. This summer he tried out a week of diving lessons and he did a great job. He even tried off of the high dive! Rachel and I just swam in a pool nearby and watched.
These are pictures from his first day. I think he will try again next summer!

Summer Happenings

Our school year ended, and we started the summer with Pack Meeting and the kids' summer piano recital. Erick got his Bobcat and participated in his first Bike Rodeo. It was fun, just super hot!
Then we rushed straight from the church to Sister Villamor's house for the recital. The kids memorized and played 2 songs and did a great job! No nerves or anxiety for any of us.
