Disneyland in December

We finally took the plunge and bought season tickets to Disneyland for a smokin' deal! I love Disneyland at Christmas time because of the beautiful atmosphere and fun parades! We did a lot of fun things on this trip. The kids saved up some money and decided to start collecting pins on their lanyards. Erick got a big "E" with disney characters on it, and Rachel got a princess Tiana pin.

It's a Small World at Christmas time is AMAZING!

One day for lunch we went to the Golden Horseshoe and Brian was picked from the audience to be in the show. Needless to say the kids (and me too) thought it was hilarious!








My last favorite thing we did that I have always wanted to do was eat at "The Blue Bayou" restaurant inside Pirates of the Carribean ride. What a blast we had at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Christmas Piano Recital

The kids both started piano in October. Rachel had been taking lessons, but unfortunately her teacher moved! So once we found a new teacher, we decided to start Erick with lessons since Rachel started at that age. It hasn't been easy having 2 kids taking lessons, and practicing. There has been a lot of tears and struggles, but they really enjoyed learning Christmas music. Their new teacher had them memorize a piece on their own, then play a duet. Rachel played Jingle Bells and Erick played Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Erick only had about 6 lessons before the recital, but he worked hard to learn the white and black notes. Erick played with his piano teacher.

Rachel played her duet with her dad, it was really sweet! We are really proud of them for working so hard, and they did a great job!

Fall Sports

I am very happy to report that Rachel found a sport she likes; volleyball! One of my friends and I arranged a little camp at the church over the summer that peaked her interest and now she's taking classes at the rec center and loving it! Erick finished up his 3rd soccer season with dad as his coach. The "Strikers" had a great season and we loved to go and support the team!
