Erick Loses His First Tooth

On Monday it was a Holiday for the kids and Brian, so we decided to head to the snow to play for the day with some friends. We had a great time and a little excitement! We were having a snowball fight, kids vs adults. The kids took the sleds and went to the nearest ditch, and protected themselves with the sleds. In the middle of the snowball fight Erick yells, "STOP! I lost my tooth!" He was so excited he ran over to us 10 feet away or so to show us. I asked him where his tooth was, and he said it fell in the snow. I was thinking, "Oh great, we'll never find a tiny, white tooth in the snow!" Luckily, it had a little bit of blood on it so it stuck out against the white and we were able to find it. He is sooo happy to finally be in the club!

Christmas Vacation 2010

I realize I haven't blogged in a "while." However one of my New Year's Resolutions is to take pictures and journal more often. The kids had the week before Christmas off to build up the anticipation of Christmas morning, so when the morning came they were wide awake and ready to tear into the gifts at 3:30AM! I remember being so excited for Christmas morning as a kid and the torture of waiting and decided one night of little sleep won't hurt us, so I let them start at 4AM. Brian wasn't excited (no surprise there) so he made them sing all the verses of a Christmas song before he would get out of bed. Santa made it just fine to our house. The kids finally got a Wii (we were one of the 3 families in our ward who were holding out) and Brian got me the gift of a lifetime (to me anyways)Celine Dion tickets!! She is my favorite singer, and she is performing at Ceaser's Palace this spring and summer. He even said he would go with me! He really is great at making me happy, even if he pretends to hate Christmas! After Christmas presents and a nap, we had our traditional Christmas breakfast with Brian's family. My family came for Christmas dinner and it was nice and cozy to have everyone here for the day. The week after Christmas Brian had off so we went and saw "Tangled" (super cute movie) and played in the snow at MT. Charleston for a few hours. We sledded, made a snow fort, and got into snowball fights with random kids. WARM=HAPPY

We also went to see Christmas lights, to the Bellagio atrium, and the Sam's Town Laser Light Christmas Spectacular. We ended the break in St.George for New Year's parties with family. I wasn't ready for the kids and Brian to go back come Monday. We loved spending time with each other and our families as we celebrated the birth of our Savior. Happy 2011 everyone!
