After Erick's- shall we say mishap?- with the monkey bars he's been counting down the days and weeks until he can get his cast off. Yesterday (exactly 5 weeks to the day) he bursts into our bedroom around 6:15AM and shouts, "Today is the day!!!" He actually laughed as they cut his cast off! He was, however, quite upset that he had a lot of new skin growing and wanted to wash it off immediately. With his newfound freedom he played in the sprinklers with Rachel in the backyard, and played catch with his dad. His grandma Hafen gave him a new glove for his birthday, but since his cast was on his left arm and hand, his new glove wouldn't fit over his cast, until now!!! He is very glad to have it off!
