Disney World Vacation Part 2

Wednesday, January 26
Animal Kingdom was our park of choice this day. The weather started off with a little drizzle, but was sunny the majority of our day. We headed straight for Expedition Everest at this park, and it did not disappoint! It’s a roller coaster that starts off fast, and then it looks like a Yeti rips part of the track and so you start to go backwards in the dark! We all loved it! Once the Stearman clan arrived we boarded the Kilimanjaro Safari jeeps. We were able to see giraffes, rhinos, hippos, elephants, a lion and lots of other animals! They were freely roaming and would sometimes be right on the road in front of us. After this experience we headed to an intense ride called “DINOSAUR.” It was like a time machine and it went back in time to the Dinosaur Era, it was pretty bumpy and scary for kids. During the ride our backpack somehow fell out of the jeep. The workers told us we could come back at 8PM that night to see if they had found it once the ride was shut down. Well it was only about 11in the morning so we had to go a lot of the day without our backpack which had our snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and most importantly my cell phone! I was mostly worried that my phone would get smashed; the kids were mostly worried that our snacks were gone! But, our dining plan included a snack in the park each day, so between that and our meals that were just fine. When we were ready to leave my mom suggested that we check back to see if the backpack had turned up even though it wasn’t 8PM yet, and we got it back then with everything intact.
