11 YEARS

Saturday, August 1, Brian and I celebrated 11 married years!! We don't do gifts, but we try to do a unique date or a weekend getaway of some kind. We usually take turns planning, and since Brian planned our cruise last year, it was my turn. (It's hard to top our 10 year cruise,) but with limited time and money I decided to take a quick trip to St. George for a Bed and Breakfast experience. I booked a nice suite at the Green Gate Village. Our room was in the oldest building in St. George, the Orson Pratt home. It was beautiful, and the inn keepers were so nice and friendly. When they found out we were celebrating our anniversary they brought some sparkling cider on ice with a couple of glasses to our room! And the yummy hot breakfast served the next morning was the icing on the cake!

Meanwhile, the kids were with my wonderful parents having the time of their lives! St. George has a new pizza place (much like Chuck E. Cheese) called Pirate Island. The kids had a blast racking up over 700 tickets! After attending the temple in the morning, we joined them for a trip to the new Washington City pool Saturday afternoon. It's an indoor/outdoor pool with 4 or 5 little kid slides, hydro tubes, a lazy river, and a splash pad too! It's a little pricey, but really fun if you are looking for something fun and new to do when in St. George. I loved spending time with Brian, and then my family too. I also love the historic feel St. George has downtown. We even visited Judd's General Store where we bought some old soda and candy. (Do you remember ZOTS and POP ROCKS?)Overall, it was a great weekend and I really want to thank my mom and dad for all that do for us, and always being willing to have the grandkids visit. They make them feel so special and make sure they have a fun time, and Uncle Brandon takes time to play ping pong and Wii with the grandkids too. I am so lucky to have such a great family, and especially an amazing husband. He is the most patient man! (He's married to me right?) He does all he can to make his wife happy, and I know that I couldn't have found a better person to spend forever with!

Wow can you believe how time flies! Congrats to you both! I went their last year for a surprise birthday party for Andrew's grandma. They had rented out one of the houses and it was really cute!

I went last weekend to the Washington pool and totally loved the lazy river (I even have the cut up big toe to prove it) If you go again let me know -- I want to go one more time before school starts.
